Craft Love… Horseshoe Garland

Horseshoe Garland

Recently I visited the Balingup Small Farm Field Day. This expo is a wonderful venue to not only see what is happening with farm machinery, a subject in which I have very limited interest, but also to get excited about the fantastic plants, animals and produce that are around in the South West.  Local small artisans are also out in force.  I love this kind of event as it is presents the possibility of seeing those craftspeople who may be starting out, or are not commercial in the true sense.  Many of these people are very talented and are producing a high standard of original work.

I purchased this horseshoe garland from Bunbury metal artist, Greg Gelmi for my Mum for Mother’s Day. He had some other larger pieces that were quite awesome and I would strongly encourage you to have a look if you see his work on display anywhere or he does have an email or a Facebook page.
